Growth and $3.5M in Financing for Classcraft

Dynamic Sherbrooke company, Classcraft, has received venture capital financing amounting to $3.5M. This sum will enable the company to proceed with a new wave of hirings.

Currently in the marketing stage, the business has quickly grown from 13 to about 30 employees. Thanks to investments from Whitecap Venture Partners, Brightspark Ventures, and the MaRs Catalyst Fund, the company foresees expanding to between 45 and 65 employees within the next 18 months.

Classcraft is an online gamification platform developed by former physics teacher Shawn Young with the goal of motivating students. The gamification platform is currently being used in 75 countries, including more than 20 000 schools in the United States.
