Shawn Young, CEO of the Sherbrooke business Classcraft Studios, made a name for himself in winning 1 of the 25 Emerging Entrepreneur titles awarded as part of C2 Montréal’s contest. More than 300 entrepreneurs were in the running for this distinction.

This contest aims to recognize entrepreneurs “who make a contribution to the evolution of business by demonstrating remarkably dynamic creativity and innovation”. The winners take home free admission to the prestigious three-day conference on commerce and creativity, C2 Montréal.

Classcraft Studios created an in-class learning game, which is now used by 800 000 users, in more than 20 000 schools located in 75 countries. This business is experiencing tremendous growth. Recently, its game platform has been used in five American states, after six U.S. school boards signed on.
