Verbom Takes On More Projects in Sherbrooke

Verbom is kicking its growth into high gear in Sherbrooke: the company has announced the upcoming construction of a new factory in the Industrial Park. Meanwhile, Verbom is investing in new specialized equipment to increase its productivity and manufacture larger automobile body parts by thermoforming.

This is the second phase of a $19.43M project that also aimed to expand the current factory to install a new production line dedicated to the Tesla Model X.

The federal and provincial governments have thus increased their financial assistance to the company:

Quebec has added $2.5M to the $3.6M loan offered in 2017.

Ottawa awarded an additional repayable contribution of $1M from CED, in addition to the $3.8M awarded in 2016 and 2017.

Sherbrooke Innopole is assisting Verbom’s management in its efforts to expand.
