The drones of ten participating universities had to locate targets spread out over an area, photograph them and determine their geographical coordinates.

The new automatic image-detection system developed by VAMUdeS helped the team keep its title.

Defending an International Title

VAMUdeS is also the international drone champion. The team’s title will be up for grabs at the next international competition, which will be held in Washington, DC, from June 19 to 22, 2013.
