The Québec Entrepreneurship Contest Rewards BioIntelligence Technologies

Sherbrooke company BioIntelligence Technologies won first prize at the national level in the Technical and Technological Innovation category, at the Desjardins Grand Prize Gala of the Québec Entrepreneurship Contest, which took place on June 18, in Québec City. A $10 000 prize was issued with the award.

The company, headed by Joël Sirois, designs and markets instruments with advanced intelligence that make it possible to optimize industrial biotechnology processes in real time.

In the Business Creation division, 2000 entrepreneurs submitted 1200 projects. These entrepreneurs were guided and encouraged by stakeholders in their region. They advanced through local, regional, and national selection phases and had formative experiences in presence of juries. The winners are bold, tenacious, driven, and make a difference by contributing to their region and being role models.

As part of the evening, the partners involved awarded 32 national prizes, with a total value of nearly $200 000.
