Terraquavie at Two US Conferences // SHERBROOKE INTERNATIONAL

Auteur : Sherbrooke Innopole

As part of the Sherbrooke International program, selected Sherbrooke businesses have received direct support for their development outside Québec. Sherbrooke International is proud to encourage and support Sherbrooke businesses to shine internationally. After each of these significant projects, participants are invited to share their experiences through a blog post.

Dominic Diorio, President / co-owner, Pascal Robert, Production Manager / co-owner, and Olivier Fortin, Technical Director at Terraquavie, participated in two major conferences in February 2019. They shared their experience:

Terraquavie

February 2019 was very busy for Terraquavie’s executives in terms of networking and updating knowledge of geosynthetics and erosion control. The team took part in two separate major annual gatherings:

  • The annual Geosynthethics 2019 Conference on geosynthetic products, February 10-13, in Houston, Texas
  • The 2019 International Erosion Control Association Annual Conference and Expo, February 18-23, in Denver, Colorado

Terraquavie is a Canadian leader in the manufacturing of sediment management products and the distribution of erosion control technical products. Terraquavie works with project designers and contractors to design tailor-made solutions for sediment management. Terraquavie’s products are available through a network of Canadian distributors.

For Terraquavie, participation in these major events helps to keep abreast of innovations, but is primarily a means of strengthening relationships with our existing partners (suppliers and clients) and developing potential new business relationships. Terraquavie is partnered with several Canadian and American manufacturers as a product distributor.

One of the company’s short-term goals is now to add an American partner to distribute its manufactured products.

Our long-standing relationships have led to chance meetings that enabled the creation of relationships with different partners. In addition to starting 2019 with a greater number of solutions in its offering, Terraquavie is engaged in discussions to distribute the products of a major American distributor.

Terraquavie moved to new facilities in 2018 and is already rethinking part of the design to optimize the premises’ production and storage capacity.
