Artopex and Soucy Techno Again Among Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies

Two Sherbrooke companies, Artopex and Soucy Techno, are once more included among Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies for 2013, according to Deloitte.

artopexArtopex wins the Best Managed Companies designation for a seventh consecutive year since 2007. The Sherbrooke-based company is the first office furniture manufacturer to become a Platinum Club member.

“Being named a member of the Platinum Club is an honour that shows our determination, passion, and dedication toward our mission and objectives. We are committed to the belief that it’s still possible to build furniture in Québec and maintain jobs here,” said Daniel Pelletier, President and Chief Executive Officer at Artopex.

Artopex is Québec’s largest office furniture manufacturer that offers a full range of office supplies under one roof. The company owns four plants, and has more than 400 employees in Québec.

Soucy TechnoFor a second consecutive year, Soucy Techno has been named Best Managed Company.

The company, located on Chemin Saint-Roch, specializes in the preparation of rubber compounds for the automobile, recreational vehicle, medical, and construction industries, among others.

Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies

Canada’s Best Managed Companies recognizes excellence in Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $10 million, on the basis of their outstanding performance and innovative management.

The awards are granted on four levels:

  • Canada’s Best Managed Companies winner
  • Requalified member – repeat winners who retain their Best Managed Companies status for two additional years
  • Gold Standard member – repeat winners who retain their Best Managed Companies designation for three consecutive years
  • Platinum Club member – repeat winners who maintain their Best Managed Companies status for a minimum of six consecutive years
