Tablex signs a national agreement with United Grocers Inc.

Tablex announces the signature of an agreement with United Grocers Inc. (UGI), whose members are important retailers everywhere in Canada.

The Sherbrooke business, specialized in the design, production and distribution of merchandising systems thus becomes a UGI supply Partner.

“Signature of this agreement with United Grocers represents a fantastic platform to grow our presence in other Canadian provinces”, says Tablex President, Ronald Dumontet.

UGI has nine corporate members: Metro, Canada Safeway Ltd, H.Y. Louie & London Drugs, Colemans Food Centre, Longo Brothers Fruits Markets, Co-Op Atlantic, Federated Co-Operatives Ltd, Overwaitea Food Group LP and North West Company.

The UGI national negotiation unit represents more than 34% of the Canadian food industry market. On an annual basis, members generate sales of more than 25 billion dollars.

Impressive successes

In October 2012, the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers named the Tablex systems among the Top ten most innovative products in Canada.

Furthermore, the Sherbrooke business has successfully launched a brand new product temporarily called Sweet One, a spring system for confectionary and chocolate.
