Réuse Moves Into New Premises With a Showroom

PRESS RELEASE– Réuse Inc. can now be found on Sherbrooke’s Industriel Boulevard: the young company recently moved its workshop there, and added a showroom enabling it to showcase its rustic chic, top quality, recycled wood creations.

Located at 3920 Industriel Boulevard since May 1, 2015, Réuse has a 6360 sq. ft. space, in which its owners, Donald Breton and Martine Boucher, have designed a showroom for their residential and commercial clientele.

Réuse will hold it’s very first open house event at its workshop/boutique on Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Onsite, visitors will have an opportunity to discover and pre-order creations with Réuse’s signature flair (furniture, accessories, wall coverings), tour the workshop, and learn more about the steps involved—from preparing the wood to making the finished products.

Réuse will soon be launching a line of ready-to-purchase accessories and small pieces of furniture, available in the boutique and online. “Mirrors, shelves, boxes, frames, coffee tables, bedside tables, etc. And just like our furniture, each piece will be original and unique, depending on the wood species, combination of colours, and finishing,” revealed the two promoters.

At the same time, Réuse is continuing to offer its custom design and production service, providing layout, organization, and decoration solutions. Among this Sherbrooke company’s recent creations are several elements used to furnish Sherbrooke’s innovative business accelerator/incubator, Espace-INC, including the immense desk-divider and workstation in the cowork room, as well as the lunch counter in the cafeteria.

Réuse creations have a rustic chic style, to which is sometimes added an industrial touch, with insertions of metal or glass, for example, reflecting strong trends in decoration. “This is one of Réuse’s strengths: it succeeds in merging current tastes with its environmental mission to give a second life to recovered wood,” noted Myriam Bélisle, Counsellor – Cleantech Key Sector at Sherbrooke Innopole.

The new Réuse site has other advantages for this Sherbrooke company, which was previously located on Le Ber Street: “Our new premises provide us with a great storefront, looking onto a very busy roadway. We win in terms of not only visibility, but also ease of access, especially since the highway is nearby. We are now closer to our suppliers and collaborators,” stated Donald Breton, President and CEO. Réuse was able to rely on strategic and technical support from Sherbrooke Innopole in its relocation project.

With a licence from the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ—Québec Building Control Board), Réuse also offers a pre-fab installation service for turnkey projects, in collaboration with partners.

Founded in 2013 and employing four people, Réuse plans to diversify its service offer in the short term to adapt to another strong trend, the do-it-yourself (DIY) approach: “We plan to make a great selection of quality recycled wood available at our shop, on a unit basis, for those who want to work on their own projects,” explained the CEO. “We can offer them clean, sound material thanks to our heat treatment process, which sterilizes recovered wood to eliminate all kinds of bacteria, plant life, and parasites. In the same vein, we are planning to offer a cutting and machining service for those wanting to avoid several manipulations or who do not have the equipment required for these tasks.
