Québec-Mexico Work Group: The Université de Sherbrooke is Among the Projects Funded

A Université de Sherbrooke research project led by Professor Arezki Tagnit-Hamou is among those selected by the 15th Québec-Mexico work group.

The project, which will be carried out in collaboration with the University of Monterrey, aims to develop an ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) from by-products local to Québec and Mexico. It specifically aims to design concrete that has better mechanical properties and a greater lifespan.

Eleven projects were selected at the end of the 2015-2017 call for projects in the area of research and innovation. In total, $60 955 was allocated for the 2015-2016 fiscal year. The Government of Mexico also grants financial support to the projects selected.
