President of Recyclage ÉcoSolutions Nominated for the Prix PDG Vert
Jean Shoiry, President of the Sherbrooke company Recyclage ÉcoSolutions, is one of the nine finalists in the third Prix PDG Vert contest, which recognizes environmentally conscious chief executive officers.
Mr. Shoiry has been involved in the environmental sector since 1985. He co-founded Recyclage ÉcoSolutions, which specializes in the management and recycling of devices that contain ozone-depleting substances (ODS). The business has facilities that are unique in North America for recycling domestic refrigerators and freezers.
The Prix PDG Vert rewards the efforts and excellence of a manager who promotes environmental protection and sustainable development within his or her organization.
On October 2, award winners in the small, medium, and large business and public sector categories will be unveiled during a cocktail hour at the Montréal Science Centre. The Hommage award will also be presented at this occasion; the 2014 recipient is Johnny Izzi of Gaudreau Environnement.
