New Research Chair in Aeroacoustics at the Université de Sherbrooke

The Université de Sherbrooke creates the new Chaire industrielle d’aéroacoustique (aeroacoustics industrial chair), in partnership with Airbus, Snecma, Technofan, and Valeo.

The research team, under the supervision of Stéphane Moreau, Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, will study the noise of propulsion systems in planes and that in ventilation and air-conditioning systems in cars.

It will develop new knowledge and noise-reduction solutions, as regulations to decrease noise emissions values become more stringent with urban intensification.
