More Than $705 000 Allocated to Two UdeS Research Projects

Université de SherbrookeTwo projects conducted at the Université de Sherbrooke, in precision medicine and civil engineering, are obtaining funding amounting to $705 605 from the Government of Canada through the John R. Evans Leaders Fund of the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), for the purchase of state-of-the-art research equipment:

  • Mass spectrometer for the discovery of new protein biomarkers by the team of associate professor François-Michel Boisvert
  • Digital image correlation system to improve the resistance of transmission towers to extreme weather conditions for the team of assistant professor Sébastien Langlois

The two researchers will benefit from a total of $1 793 728, as each dollar invested by the CFI is matched by an equal contribution of $1 from the Government of Québec and by $0.50 from other partners from the private sector.
