In collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in the United States, Enerkem’s team has developed a process based on its exclusive waste-to-biomethanol conversion technology to produce a biofuel that can reach an octane rating of up to 112 – 20 points higher than the average octane rating found in regular fossil-fuel gasoline.
