CRCHUS Researcher Among the Winners of the EMC2 Competition.

The first edition of Oncopole‘s EMC2 awards program has accepted 7 research projects, which shall share the nearly $12M, including one in which Brigitte Guérin, professor-researcher at the Université de Sherbrooke and the Centre de recherche du CHUS, is participating.

The goal of the project, to be carried out in collaboration with the Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec-Université Laval, is to optimize prostate cancer treatments using molecular imaging and targeted radiation therapy.

Honoured by the Canadian Society for Chemistry

Furthermore, Brigitte Guérin received the prestigious Clara Benson Award presented by the Canadian Society for Chemistry for her remarkable contribution to the field of chemistry, and more specifically to radiochemistry ⎼ a very specialized sector in organic chemistry on which her research program is based.

Ms. Guérin holds the Jeanne-et-J.-Louis-Lévesque Research Chair in Radiobiology at the Université de Sherbrooke and is head of the radiochemistry lab at the Centre d’imagerie moléculaire de Sherbrooke.
