Bishop’s University student wins Central Canada entrepreneurship contest

Rylan Schwarze, owner of the entertainment company Ry Guy Magic and student at Bishop’s University, was crowned “2014 Student Entrepreneur Regional Champion for Central Canada” at the Enactus Canada competition.

The regional jury highlighted the young man’s business sense and constant progression as well as his enthusiasm to turn his dream into a dynamic business that offers magic and circus shows in Québec and Ontario.

Rylan Schwarze reached the regional round after having won the Québec championship last February. Now he will go on to participate at the National Exposition in Calgary April 28 to 30 when the John Dobson Cup and $10,000 will be at stake.

“I am thrilled and honoured to receive both of these awards. I truly appreciate the support and encouragement I have received from my family and friends. Bishop’s University and the Dobson-Lagassé Centre have been behind me the whole way. They have helped me grow as an entrepreneur and elevate my business.
