Bestar is pursuing its growth in the Eastern Townships with the construction of a 50 000 pi² fabrication facility on Portland Boulevard in Sherbrooke’s Regional Industrial Park.

The manufacturer of ready-to-assemble furniture will invest $7.4M and create about fifteen jobs in Sherbrooke.

Bestar benefitted from the support of Sherbrooke Innopole’s site locator service for this expansion project. “Bestar is a furniture industry flagship in the Eastern Townships, and we are pleased to see the business continue to grow in the region. It is another chapter in their success story, marked by innovation and their commitment to respecting the environment. Those are two fundamental pillars for distinguishing themselves within the current context of globalized competition”, stated Josée Fortin, Sherbrooke Innopole’s executive director.

Bestar currently employs 200 people at their main facility located in Lac-Mégantic.
