Two Sherbrooke businesses, Artopex and Soucy Techno, figures among Deloitte’s prestigious lineup of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies for 2012.

This is the sixth consecutive year Artopex has won this honour since 2007, earning it a place in the Gold-Standard category for companies that have maintained the Best-Managed designation for four to six consecutive years.

“When I think about leadership, I think about people who work with me, not for me. Leaders have their role and so does each employee. Together, in 2012, we opened up new markets, launched innovative new products, and invested significantly in new projects to improve our manufacturing processes,” explained Artopex president Daniel Pelletier.

Artopex is the largest office furniture manufacturer in Québec that offers a complete line of office products under one roof.

Soucy Techno’s Exceptional Performance

This is Soucy Techno’s first time on the Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies list. The company, located on Saint-Roch Road, specializes in the preparation of rubber compounds, primarily for the automotive, recreational-vehicle, medical, and construction sectors.

“Our sales have grown 40% in the past three years and our earnings have increased by 45%. These results reflect both our R&D initiatives and our marketing plan,” stated André Archambault, Soucy Techno’s general manager.

This is the 20^th year for the Best Managed awards, which recognize outstanding performance and innovative management in Canadian companies with sales over $10 million.
