A Research Chair on Biofuels Booming at the UdeS

The Université de Sherbrooke’s Industrial Research Chair in Cellulosic Ethanol and Biocommodities has been identified as a significant endeavour in the 2013-2020 Climate Change Action Plan. After 10 years in existence, the Chair continues to work on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The Chair’s team, which just moved into the Centre’s newly upscaled premises, now has all the space it needs to focus on its research activities to develop new processes and support Quebec industries in developing pilot-scale technologies for second- and third-generation biofuel production.
