$19.9M in Financing for SoundBite

SoundBite Medical Solutions Inc. (SBMS) has concluded a $19.9M series A round of investment, in which new and existing Canadian and foreign investors participated.

The funds raised will be allocated, among other things, to preparation for the strategic commercial launch in Europe of the SoundBite™ Active Microcatheter once CE marking has been obtained, and to conducting a first clinical trial in humans.

The company has also announced the appointment of Francis Bellido as CEO. The position was previously held by Martin Brouillette, SBMS co-founder and professor-researcher at the Université de Sherbrooke. Mr. Brouillette has reassumed his role of head of technology.
