DIEX Research and BioIntelligence Technologies Winners of the 3rd Devtech BIO Competition
Sherbrooke continues to stand out in the entrepreneurial competition Devtech BIO: DIEX Research and BioIntelligence Technologies were among the award recipients at the third edition.
DIEX Research conducts phase I to IV clinical trials. Led by Suzie Talbot, the company has three locations in Sherbrooke and Montréal. It was Canada’s first research centre to obtain accreditation from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP).
BioIntelligence Technologies specializes in the development of smart sensors and analytical servers to optimize transformation processes in the biotechnology sector. The founder, Joël Sirois, is a member of the ACET (Accelerator for the Creation of Technological Businesses) at the Université de Sherbrooke.

By joining this select club, the two Sherbrooke companies will have the opportunity to attend the prestigious Bio International Convention taking place June 15 to 18, 2015, in Philadelphia. DIEX Research and BioIntelligence Technologies will take part in a training session on business development, the BIO One-on-One Partnering event, as well as activities organized in conjunction with the Convention.
In 2013, Immune Biosolutions, which makes antibodies using eggs, was amongst the Devtech – BIO edition’s winners.
Devtech BIO is an entrepreneurial competition intended to stimulate and support start-up companies in the life-sciences sector in Québec.
