Canada the World’s 7th Most Competitive Country
Canada ranks 7th in the world in terms of competitiveness according to the most recent edition of the World Competitiveness Yearbook, published by the International Institute for Management Development.
With a score of 85,429, Canada retains the same position as last year.
The United States (100 000) is in top spot, followed by Switzerland (92,423), Singapore (90,966), Hong Kong (90,329), Sweden (85,833), and Germany (85,782).
The 2014 World Competitiveness Yearbook evaluated the ability of 60 countries to create and maintain an environment in which enterprises can compete.
The business school considers more than 300 criteria, divided into four main factors:
- Economic performance
- Government efficiency
- Business efficiency
- Infrastructure
