The President and CEO of Diex Recherche, Suzie Talbot, and the company Artopex are both winners of 2015 Desjardins Entrepreneur Awards in the Centre-du-Québec region.

Suzie Talbot, Diex Recherche

Cofounder of Diex Recherche, Suzie Talbot is the winner of the Woman of Influence Award. Specialized in conducting clinical trials, the Sherbrooke company has a total of four locations, including two in Montréal and one in Québec City.

Award judges described Ms. Talbot as a “woman of vision and a great leader who quickly propelled the company to success while earning recognition from her peers.”

Artopex

Artopex, which has two plants in Sherbrooke (Logiflex and TEC Innovation), won double honours: the Sustainable Development Award and the Innovation & Productivity Award – Medium-sized business.

The manufacturer of office furniture employs 400 people and has a network of 465 distributors in North America.

Another Sherbrooke company was honoured: the Coopérative funéraire de l’Estrie (Estrie Funeral Co-op) won the Co-op Award.

Regional winners are now contenders for the major national awards, which will be presented at a gala ceremony in Montréal on October 14, 2015.
