CED Renews its Funding for the ACET

The Accélérateur de création d’entreprises technologiques (ACETAccelerator for the Creation of Technological Businesses) has obtained another round of funding totalling $293 500 over three years from Canada Economic Development (CED).

Through this contribution, the ACET aims to support the development and pre-start-up of at least 36 innovative SMEs by 2017. Since its creation in 2011, the organization established by the Université de Sherbrooke has contributed to the launch of 34 companies, supporting 100 jobs.

The announcement of the renewal of non-repayable funding was made by the Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Québec and Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs, Denis Lebel.

The ACET is a personalized training and mentoring program for students with innovative business projects that they want to turn into a commercial success.
