Université de Sherbrooke is the 14th best academia workplace in the world
Université de Sherbrooke ranks 14th on the worldwide ranking of the best academia places to work in the life sciences domain, published by the U.S. magazine The Scientist. The Sherbrooke institution is the only Canadian university listed.
Following a survey, completed by more than 1000 full-time scientists, Université de Sherbrooke distinguishes itself by its career advancement opportunities and level of job satisfaction.
The Scientist is an American magazine dedicated to life sciences such as Molecular Biology and Genetics. The 10th edition of their survey highlights the fact that personal satisfaction and good health-care coverage are the two most important factors for respondents.
The top 3 best places to work in academia are the J. David Gladstone Institutes, in San Francisco, the Sage Bionetworks, in Seattle, and the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, in Kansas City.
