Université de Sherbrooke’s MBA programmes: Academic agreement between Sherbrooke Innopole and UdeS’ École de gestion
PRESS RELEASE – The Université de Sherbrooke’s École de gestion is teaming up with Sherbrooke Innopole to add strategic mandates that will complete the academic path of its various cohorts in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes: Droit-MBA, full-time MBA and part-time MBA in Sherbrooke. Each mandate will be equivalent to six university credits.
As a first line economic development organisation known for its expertise within its business network, Sherbrooke Innopole can identify the projects which align with the objectives of the MBA.
“Sherbrooke Innopole collaborates with Sherbrooke industrial and technological businesses daily by providing them with tools, expertise, and concrete courses of action. The agreement is coherent with these objectives. The MBA students will act as a tactic team whose knowledge and know-how will translate into significant transferable assets for participating businesses” said Josée Fortin, Sherbrooke Innopole’s executive director.
This agreement with the Sherbrooke organisation will allow the École de gestion, which values practical experience, to pursue and strengthen its mission at the postgraduate level.
“This collaboration between Sherbrooke Innopole and the École de gestion will allow businesses to benefit from the knowledge and creativity of our graduates, while our students will be able to apply the competencies acquired during the programme” said Professor Yves Trudel, director of the MBA programme. “Thus, this agreement is set within our vision of offering a practical and integrating MBA, rooted in its community.”
To that effect, the MBA programme management also entered into a similar agreement with Développement économique Longueuil (DEL) for its cohorts at the Longueuil campus.
