BRP Recognized as One of the Top Canadian Brands
BRP is recognized as one of the ten best canadian brands! For the 150th anniversary of Canada, the Global News network asked experts in marketing and brand image to rank the 10 best Canadian brands “of all time,” to use Global News’ exact phrase. Bombardier Recreational Products is on that list alongside Canadian Tire, Saputo, Hudson’s Bay, and Mountain Equipment Coop.
The Valcourt business made its mark with the invention of the Ski-Doo, which marked the beginning of the snowmobiling world with its sprocket wheel/track system enabling efficient travel on snow. This method of travel was a revolution at the time of its invention in 1959 by Joseph-Armand Bombardier.
BRP has offices in Sherbrooke, on King Street West, and collaborates with the Université de Sherbrooke for the Advanced Technology Center (CTA), located on Portland Boulevard.
