Project FloRe: Boosting Electric Cars!
The Innovative Vehicle Institute (IVI) has launched a project for rechargeable fleets identified as FloRe. The project aims to facilitate the incorporation of electrical plug-in vehicles in Québec’s private vehicle fleets. It is supported by the Government of Québec under the Action-Climat Québec green fund stemming from the 2013-2020 Action Plan on Climate Change.

The project will test electric cars in businesses to demonstrate the cost efficiency and feasibility of electric vehicle fleets. One of the objectives is to raise fleet managers’ awareness of the advantages of electric cars, through training and coaching. The FloRe project will offer evaluation tools and documentation for fleet managers who want to electrify their fleet.
Some 30 businesses will be selected to test electric cars over three weeks, at no charge. The “guinea pigs” will only have to pay the electric costs associated with their use. The tests will be spread out over two years, beginning in spring 2017.
If you are interesting in participating in the FloRe project, you must fill out a registration form to identify your transportation needs and to assess the potential for integrating electric vehicles into your business.
