Aliments Jardi Announces the Construction of a New Plant in Sherbrooke
PRESS RELEASE– Following the launch of its new website in January and the recent rejuvenation of its logo and its labels, Aliments Jardi is proud to announce that it will be moving into a more spacious plant along the new stretch of Sherbrooke’s De Portland Boulevard. The plant’s construction is scheduled to begin this week.
Among this Sherbrooke business’s goals in the mid-August move into a new building is to boost its storage capacity. This construction will increase the company’s available space from 15 000 to 24 000 sq. ft., including the office area. The new facilities will make it possible to obtain additional food certifications, vital to growing its clientele. Total investments of $2.5 million have been budgeted to carry out this expansion project. During its relocation venture, the business has been able to rely on support from Sherbrooke Innopole.
“In a little less than a year, since the acquisition of Aliments Jardi by Gestion Estrie Capital (MB Capital), the business has unceasingly introduced changes! Subsequent to the revitalization of its brand image and the launch of its website, relocation seemed to be the next step required to continue to promote the company’s growth. Furthermore, given that we recently acquired more than 70 new clients, Aliments Jardi has had to hire new employees, moving has become even more of a necessity,” explained Maxime Busseau, Director of the business.
In fact, although the company currently distributes its products under independent banners like IGA, Provigo, Metro, and very recently Groupe Épicia and Hart stores, its goal is to develop agreements with other chains in Québec, Ontario, and eventually the United States.
Mario Beaudoin, President of Gestion Estrie Capital (MB Capital) added: “We acquired this company with the objective of ensuring its longevity in Sherbrooke. Today, we are proud of this new step, which will ensure Aliments Jardi’s growth and enable our employees to work in a more pleasant environment.”
Josée Fortin, Director General of Sherbrooke Innopole, is also enthusiastic about this coming move: “Aliments Jardi has been located in Sherbrooke for many years, and it is fantastic to observe the positive changes that it has introduced! This company is rejuvenating itself and equipping itself with ways of penetrating new markets.”
