FedEx Ground U.S. just confirmed an order of 285 industrial electric vehicles with the Sherbrooke company Motrec International. It is one of the largest contracts awarded by FedEx in the ten years it has been doing business with Motrec.

This two-year deal provides for the delivery of two vehicle models: tow tractors (MT-280) and stock chasers (MS-260). The new fleet will be distributed across the 30 or so sorting facilities operated by FedEx Ground throughout the United States.

Additional orders may be placed in the coming months as FedEx Ground U.S. has several expansion projects planned.
