Cégep de Sherbrooke will receive a $105,000 Applied Research Tools and Instruments Grant that will benefit local students and businesses through collaborative research projects.
The financial contribution, granted for the “Development of high-performance analytical approaches using cytometry” project, will be used to purchase two portable cytometers for the Techniques de laboratoire: biotechnologies program, as well as a lyophilizator, a device that will benefit several programs.
Cooperative Research and Development
These medical devices will also promote new research projects with local businesses.
For instance, the company, Immune Biosolutions, works with 3rd year students to develop water quality indicators.
The financial contribution is granted by the College and Community Innovation Program and the College-Industry Innovation Fund.
