Michael Broadhurst and Mario Lambert Elected to Sherbrooke Innopole’s Board of Directors

Sherbrooke Innopole is proud to announce the appointments of Michael Broadhurst, Site Director, Preclinical Services in Sherbrooke, for Charles River Laboratories, and Mario Lambert, President of Surplec HV Solutions, to its board of directors.

These appointments were approved at the board’s annual general meeting on April 16, 2013.

Michael Broadhurst

Michael Broadhurst has held the position of Site Director, Preclinical Services in Sherbrooke for Charles River Laboratories since 2009. His employment with this company, specializing in preclinical and clinical trials, dates back to 2002. He has held a variety of positions, first in Montréal and now in Sherbrooke.

Broadhurst’s academic background includes an undergraduate degree in education and a master’s degree in educational technology, both from Concordia University.

Mario Lambert

Mario Lambert is the President of Surplec HV Solutions, a company he founded in 1987 and that markets industrial electrical products, especially transformers and high-voltage equipment.

In 2009–2010, Lambert served as chair of the board of the Association de l’industrie électrique du Québec (AIEQ for Quebec electrical industry association).

The expertise developed by Broadhurst and Lambert in their respective fields of health sciences and the manufacturing industry brings added value to Sherbrooke Innopole, with a mission of providing innovative, harmonious, and dynamic economic development based on five promising key sectors, including the life sciences and advanced manufacturing.

Pierre Tremblay Appointed Vice President

At the AGM, the Sherbrooke Innopole Board of Directors also appointed Pierre Tremblay to the position of vice president. Tremblay, a member of the Sherbrooke Innopole board since October 2011, is Vice President, Financial Planning and North American Operations of Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.
