Seize the opportunity to take action by doing simple things for the environment! Be part of Défi Climat 2012, a large campaign to mobilize citizens in the fight against climate change, from May 1^st to June 8^th, 2012.

The challenge is open to all of Québec’s cities, schools, institutions, businesses, organizations and citizens to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) through changes in lifestyle and travel habits.

Twenty simple and concrete measures are suggested to participants, the environmental benefits of which are quantified in terms of CO₂ emissions.

In 2011, nearly 60,000 people have pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, for a total of about 56,405 tons of GHG saved.

Businesses can also join the challenge!

Organizations are encouraged to enroll and for that purpose, ready-to-use communication tools are available to involve employees in one or more ways:

• Invite your employees to enroll individually;
• Organize your own business campaign;
• Implement one of the 10 organizational actions to improve your carbon footprint;
• Use the promotional tools made available to you upon registering.
