The sod-turning officially launching construction of the Fondation Huguette et Jean-Louis Fontaine design studio was held at the Université de Sherbrooke.

Located between the Faculty of Engineering and the Management School – to stimulate creation and entrepreneurial projects – , the new building will be incorporated into an area designated for creative thinking and the display of student talent, a series of manufacturing workshops, and a plant-training site project involving brewing and distillation procedures.

Although primarily used by engineering students, the Design Studio will also be a fab lab open to both companies and the public, especially for the design and production of prototypes.
