Université de Sherbrooke Ranks 1st in Canada for its Growth in Research Income
The Université de Sherbrooke ranked first on the 2016 Canada’s Top Research Universities List for its increase in research revenues from 2000-2001 to 2014-2015 among major universities with their own medical school and offering a variety of PhD programs.
Grants and contracts totalled $126.8M in 2015-2016, a growth of 205.7% over 15 years. In total, between 2000-2001 and 2014-2015, UdeS generated $1.635B in research revenues.
Over the same period, UdeS also doubled its production of scientific publications and now ranks 8th in Canada and 2nd in Québec with regards to growth. In total, more than 10 000 articles written by its professors and researchers have been published, as shown in the ranking conducted by the firm Research Infosource.
