Drug Development Hub in Sherbrooke
A big step for the Institut de pharmacologie de Sherbrooke (IPS—Sherbrooke Pharmacology Institute) located at UdeS’s Health Campus—a new drug development hub will be created.
The Sherbrooke-ACCESS-CDRD Node is a biopharmaceutical accelerator that is the result of a collaborative agreement between the Université de Sherbrooke and the Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD).
The ACCESS node will focus on cooperative health-related projects in areas such as pain and inflammation. CDRD will work with IPS to advance research discoveries towards commercialization and clinical applications thus enhancing its drug development infrastructure and expertise in Québec to further support Canadian health researchers.
The Sherbrooke-ACCESS-CDRD Node is the third agreement to further CDRD’s pan-Canadian network of CDRD drug development nodes. The other two are the Metabolomics Node at the University of Alberta and the Atlantic Node at Dalhousie University/IWK Health Centre.
