Sherbrooke ranked best Canadian city to raise a family
Sherbrooke tops the list of Canadian cities that provide the best environment for the family, according to a ranking that appears in the September 2012 edition of the magazine Sélection.
The Queen of the Eastern Townships beats the Ottawa-Gatineau Region, Guelph, Calgary, Windsor (Ontario) and Montreal, among others.
To establish this classification, Sélection has analyzed data from 42 Canadian cities of over 80,000 inhabitants in 11 categories (public transportation, median age, infant mortality, maternity leave, childcare, food prices, mothers’ groups, domestic violence, child and youth victims of crime, libraries and parks).
