Neptune Invests $5M in its Sherbrooke Factory

Neptune

The company Neptune Technologies & Bioressources has announced the injection of $5M into its Sherbrooke plant to convert its facilities for its new orientation – the production of cannabis oil.

Facing market decline, the company recently had to sell its krill oil production division to Norwegian company Aker BioMarine.

The money from this sale will be used to launch the company into the production of cannabis oil for therapeutic purposes, through the Green Valley Consortium, created last May by the Université de Sherbrooke and the Groupe DJB.
