A Whirl of Culture

Sherbrooke is at the heart of cultural activities in the Estrie region. Summer and winter, the city welcomes reputed artists and hosts a variety a cultural events with an international flavour. Art and culture enjoy numerous platforms for the convenience of the population:  museums, interpretation centres, galleries, festivals, schools and theaters.

The Maurice O’Bready Hall, third largest of its kind in Québec and the Granada theater, designated as a Canadian historic place, offer comedy, dance, theater and music shows for all audiences.

Thanks to a population with enormous creative talent, cinema, music and art in all forms are enjoying a meteoric rise on the Sherbrooke scene. Sherbrooke is proud to foster the development of new local talent thanks to organizations such as the Conseil de la culture de l’Estrie(Estrie region culture council), assistance programs for artists and several partners.
