The Université de Sherbrooke has created a brand new business partnership development team, based in the Well Inc. entrepreneurial district.

The UdeS is looking to triple business partnerships between researchers and entrepreneurs from the region. A coaching service is offered to businesses wanting to access the institution’s research infrastructure.

The initiative is part of the UdeS’s Innovation, Partnership, Entrepreneurship (IPE) Strategy. Its location in the heart of Sherbrooke’s entrepreneurial district aims to facilitate synergy between businesses and researchers.

Already settled in at 9 Wellington St. S., the team is led by Serge Beaudoin, who has significant business experience in information technologies and micro-nanotechnologies, notably with Axes Network, Media5, and MicroTeQ-10.

Canvassers will shortly join the team to ensure coverage of the technological key sectors of the IPE Strategy: IT, quantum physics, medicine, transportation, and energy.
