A Sherbrooke Innovation in Life Sciences Hits International Markets

IngénutraIngénutra, a Sherbrooke life sciences business, has entered into an exclusive worldwide agreement with Neptune Technologies & Bioressources for its natural active ingredient MaxSimil.

MaxSimil is based on a patented technology that naturally enhances the absorption and bioavailability of omega-3 fatty acids and other fat-soluble vitamins. A prime example would be adding MaxSimil to fish oil, which is rich in omega-3, in order to help the body better absorb this type of healthy fats.

The agreement includes royalties, and grants Neptune, through its subsidiary Biodroga Nutraceutiques, the right to manufacture, distribute, and sell MaxSimil in the nutraceutical field worldwide up to the year 2028.

The terms also cover potential collaboration between both companies on clinical trials.

Ingénutra develops, manufactures, and markets ingredients and products that aim to improve human and animal health.
