Sherbrooke Designated Canada’s Entrepreneurial Hot Spot

Sherbrooke has been designated Canada’s Entrepreneurial Hot Spot for hosting the highest number of events per capita during Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 14 to 20, 2016.

In total, the 49 activities on the program – conferences, training sessions, open house events, networking and recognition events, etc. – attracted more than 1700 participants, including well-established as well as up-and-coming entrepreneurs, students, investors, mentors, and others wanting to learn more about entrepreneurship.

Last year, when Sherbrooke first participated in Global Entrepreneurship Week, the city ranked second among entrepreneurial cities in Canada per capita.

Once again in 2016, Ottawa dominated in terms of absolute numbers, with 74 events.
