BioIntelligence Technologies and Immune Biosolutions Winners in the 4th Devtech BIO Competition

Devtech BIO

Once again, Sherbrooke’s life sciences sector excelled at the Devtech BIO entrepreneurship competition: BioIntelligence Technologies and Immune Biosolutions were among the winners at the fourth edition. This is the second time that these two Sherbrooke companies have been honoured.

BioIntelligence Technologies specializes in the development of smart probes and server-analysts designed to optimize bioprocesses in real time, while taking scientific and financial variables into consideration. In January 2016, Joël Sirois and his team launched the automated BioAnalyst server-analyst, supported by a first round of financing exceeding $1M.

Founded by Frédéric Leduc, Simon Gaudreau, and Jean-François Larrivée, Immune Biosolutions produces antibodies from eggs for the biomedical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries, as well as for academic research laboratories.

The other 2016 Devtech BIO winners were:

  • Technologies Khlôros (Québec)
  • SyntBiolab (Lévis)
  • BIOGENIQ (Montréal)

Prize

The winning companies will have the opportunity to attend the prestigious BIO International Convention, in San Francisco, from June 6 to 9, 2016. On site, they will take part in business development training, the BIO One-on-One Partnering event, as well as linking and networking activities organized outside of the conference.

Devtech BIO is an entrepreneurship competition aimed at inspiring and supporting Québec biotech companies, which are in the start-up, pre-marketing, or marketing phase, in their search for scientific, marketing, or funding partners.
