Artopex, Soucy Techno, and M.I. Integration Still Among Canada’s Best Managed Companies

Three manufacturing companies from Sherbrooke ranked on Deloitte’s 2017 prestigious list of Best Managed Companies in Canada: Artopex, Soucy Techno, and M.I. Integration.

Artopex qualified for a 10th consecutive year in the program, keeping its place in the Platinum Club for the fourth year. The office furniture manufacturer has five plants, two of them in Sherbrooke, and more than 650 employees.

Soucy Techno is in its 5th prize-winning year, and its 2nd as a Gold Standard winner. The company has a factory in Sherbrooke that develops and prepares rubber compounds for the mining, petrochemical, agricultural, and military sectors.

A winner for the second time, M.I. Integration is rising in the Best Managed category. Founded in 1989, the company specializes in the manufacturing of moulds and the injection of parts for the automotive industry. It has four plants in Sherbrooke and Mexico – Moules Industriels, Plastech, SLP M.I. Integración, and M.I. Moldes.

Competition for the Best Managed Companies in Canada

The Best Managed ranking rewards the best companies owned and managed by Canadians that have sales figures exceeding $15 million. They are assessed based on their overall performance, innovative management, and sustainable growth.

There are four distinction levels:

  • Best Managed – New winners
  • Best Managed winners– Award recipients who have reapplied and successfully maintained their Best Managed designation for an additional two years
  • Gold Standard winners– Recipients who have retained their designation for four to six consecutive years
  • Platinum Club winners – Recipients who have maintained their designation for seven consecutive years or more
