Our mentors are all passionate entrepreneurs wishing to pass on their expertise and experience, and support other entrepreneurs toward their success and self-improvement. Mentors are volunteers; the success of “their entrepreneurs” is their main motivation.

Graduate in Business Administration from HEC Montreal and in Visual Arts from the Sherbrooke University.

In the last 35 years, I have created a few small businesses, all related to the field of visual communication; businesses I have founded, bought or sold. Being among the first to use the emerging infographic tools, I have participated in the transformation of conventional graphics workshops into infographics workshops, for small and large Estrie businesses. The development of new markets has always been the cornerstone of my strategy.

As certified Industrial Control Technician, I have gained experience in automation, robotics and industrial computing, as I launched Groupe CADEC Inc, a business I started in 1988 and managed until it was sold to Roche Ltd, Counsulting Group, in 2007. From 1992 to 2000, I also owned Transfo-Rackzs Inc, a manufacturer of hitch mounted bicycle carrier, which was sold to Sport Racks.

Today, I’m working as a consultant in Innovation Process management helping manufacturing companies to introduce a new approach in business management based on Innovation. I also have experience in the food-processing and in the light manufacturing industries (customized and retrofitting of production equipment, floor layout and process optimization).

For many years, I was also a member of the regional and national management board of our firm, in addition to being a member of the board of a venture capital corporation.

I have always valued the dynamics of individuals and groups within corporations; human dynamics remains one of my priorities. As Project Manager, I have overseen the implementation of an enterprise resource planning software (ERP) and carried out the reorganization of departments. I have developed Continuous Improvement Performance (CIP) plans and its committees. Through my company, I guide leadership teams in implementing strategic and tactical initiatives by piloting change and promoting the emergence and mobilization of talent.

After selling this consulting business in 1994, I started working for the Forzani Group as supervisor of the Canadian retail banner Atmosphere. Since 2008, I am back to consulting but this time in helping managers find solutions to their planning and strategic management problems.

For 19 years, I was the owner of a retail and wholesale business with clients such as hospitals and universities. After I sold this company, I went back to school and I then practiced law for a few years.

I am now retired, but I continue to do volunteer work with great passion. The Rotary, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, the Canadian Red Cross, Champlain College, the Phénix de la Rose des Vents, Sherbrooke’s boat club; these are all organizations I have gladly offered my time to. I also collaborate with the Fondation de la Maison Aube-Lumière and I participated in the development of the still very successful poinsettias campaign.

My professional career evolved steadily at Beaudin Le Prohon for more than 50 years where I served as Chairman of the Board for 30 years. Today, I am extremely proud of my team of 165 employees. We have become leaders in the design and maintenance of hot and cold air refrigeration systems, ventilation, and air conditioning… to think that we were only four to start with! Still actively involved in the family business, I am now Vice-President of Research and Development and am also a Board member and President of provincial sectorial organizations. My professional accomplishments and entrepreneurial qualities as well as managerial qualities in the construction sector have often been acknowledged.

Electronic design engineer with 30 years of experience in high technology sector, at executive level. In 1982, I had the opportunity to be part of the start-up, development and management of the first Center of Excellence in Microelectronics in Canada, the SMIS. I then participated in the creation of C-MAC Industries in 1986. Over the next 20 years, I have held various positions: design, manufacturing, operations, development (products, technology, business development, strategy), mergers and acquisitions, as well as developer and President of Navox Corporation (wireless technology). I had the chance to participate in the first public offerings of C-MAC (Toronto 1992 and New-York 2000) and have a seat on the Board of many high tech microelectronics companies.

Following that first experience, I launched Nova Sylva, a designer and supplier of silviculture and domestic composting equipment. I have been a Board member of the Association Forestière des Cantons de l’Est for twenty years, seven of which as president.
